Lemon Balm Cacao Elixir

Purpose:
Lemon Balm Cacao Elixir is a calming, soothing blend designed for ceremonies focused on relaxation and mental clarity. Lemon balm, with its mild sedative properties and ability to ease stress, pairs wonderfully with the heart-opening qualities of cacao, creating a drink perfect for winding down or for use in evening rituals.


Ingredients:

  • 1 oz (28g) ceremonial-grade cacao, chopped or grated
  • 1 cup (240ml) hot water or milk
  • 1 tbsp dried lemon balm leaves (or a few drops of lemon balm extract)
  • 1/2 tsp honey (optional, to sweeten)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional, for added warmth and flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Infuse Lemon Balm
    If using dried leaves, steep lemon balm in hot water for about 5 minutes. For a more concentrated flavor, use lemon balm extract, adding directly into the mix later.
  2. Prepare the Cacao
    Place the cacao in a mug. Strain the lemon balm-infused water into the mug, or add plain hot water if using extract. Stir until the cacao is fully melted.
  3. Add Lemon Balm Extract and Sweetener
    If using extract, add it now, along with honey and a pinch of cinnamon if desired. Mix thoroughly to ensure all flavors are well combined.
  4. Serve and Enjoy
    Inhale the soothing, citrusy aroma of lemon balm mixed with the richness of cacao. Sip slowly, allowing the calming properties to wash over you, helping you relax and clear your mind.
