Golden Cacao Turmeric Elixir

Purpose:
The Golden Cacao Turmeric Elixir is a healing, warming blend designed for ceremonies centered on grounding, resilience, and inner healing. Turmeric, with its rich, golden hue, is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to support physical and emotional resilience. Combined with ceremonial cacao, this drink promotes balance and wellness, making it ideal for grounding rituals or healing ceremonies.


Ingredients:

  • 1 oz (28g) ceremonial-grade cacao, chopped or grated
  • 1 cup (240ml) hot almond or oat milk (or any non-dairy milk of your choice)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Pinch of black pepper (to enhance the absorption of turmeric)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional, for added warmth and flavor)
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Milk with Spices
    In a small saucepan, heat the almond or oat milk over medium-low heat. Add turmeric, black pepper, and cinnamon, and stir well to combine. Allow the mixture to warm without reaching a boil, letting the spices infuse for about 3 minutes.
  2. Mix the Cacao
    In a separate cup or small bowl, add the chopped cacao. Pour the spiced milk over the cacao and let it sit for a few moments to soften. Stir or whisk until the cacao is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Add Sweetener
    If you’d like a sweeter drink, add maple syrup or honey to taste. Stir thoroughly to combine.
