Lavender Cacao Latte

Purpose:
This Lavender Cacao Latte is perfect for ceremonies centered on tranquility and relaxation. Lavender’s calming properties harmonize beautifully with cacao, creating a serene blend that helps release stress and invite inner peace.


Ingredients:

  • 1 oz (28g) ceremonial-grade cacao, chopped or grated
  • 1 cup (240ml) hot water or almond milk
  • 1 tsp dried lavender buds (or a few drops of lavender extract for a stronger lavender essence)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for warmth and depth)
  • 1-2 tsp raw honey or maple syrup (optional, for gentle sweetness)

Instructions:

  1. Infuse the Lavender
    Begin by steeping the dried lavender buds in hot water for about 5 minutes. If you prefer a stronger lavender flavor, you can let it steep longer or add a few drops of lavender extract after straining. Once infused, strain the lavender from the water.
  2. Prepare the Cacao
    In a separate cup or small saucepan, add the chopped cacao. Pour the lavender-infused water over the cacao and allow it to sit for a few seconds. Stir vigorously or use a small whisk to blend the cacao until fully dissolved and smooth.
  3. Add Vanilla and Sweetener
    Stir in the vanilla extract for a hint of sweetness and warmth, which pairs beautifully with lavender. If you’d like a sweeter drink, add honey or maple syrup to taste.
